I was contacted by aspiring Art Adam Tanguay about creating some more album art for his latest song “it’s all the same”. after our conference call to bounce around ideas I was told to create what I feel when listen to the song. the only stipulation was that he was feeling that it should have cooler colors and needs to be done within 3 weeks.
After I assessed my availability with work 36hrs a week and moving. I decided to take on the job and began brainstorming. when listening to the piece I felt a draw towards the self-reflection in the lyrics and thought to illustrate it with ripples in a still body of water. I also wanted to connect back to the artist name since it being digital release he didn’t want any text on the album, thus I went for the paper plane to hark back to his preforming name of “Planes Overhead”. After a couple consultation on progress and desire outcome and submitted this final product.
upon finishing the cover I was really pleased with how it turned out. I was able to practice with reflection and distortion of an image to get a dreamy mirrored affect that I have never done before. Adam himself was ecstatic and immediately uploaded the song with cover with the next day.
Below is the song for your enjoyment.
